The Colorado Soccer Coaches Winter Symposium will be your opportunity to see some of the state and region’s top coaches present different training topics that you can take back to your teams. There will be live field sessions as well as classroom sessions. If you are unable to attend the NSCAA convention in Los Angeles, then this is your opportunity to learn from accomplished presenters.

JB Belzer
Regis Head Women’s coach JB Belzer has been at the helm for 21 seasons. His record of 277-122-26 is ranked 10th in NCAA Division II history. He has guided the Rangers to five consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament appearances from 2008-2012, a first in Regis’ history.
John Cone

Dr John Cone is the founder and CEO of Fit For 90. He has experience both playing and coaching at the college and professional level. John has extensive experience as a sports scientist, coach, and educator that gives him the unique ability to bridge the worlds of science and sport.


Brian Crookham

Brian Crookham is the Senior Director of Soccer Development for the Colorado Rapids. He is responsible for all the club’s programming related to player development, including the Academy, the Colorado Rapids Adidas Alliance and the Club’s USL Partnerships.
Marc Francis
Marc Francis played professionally in Australia, Malaysia, as well as the United States. He is the Director of the Juniors Program for the Colorado Storm and a National Staff Coach for the NCSAA and also the State Director for the NSCAA.
Jamie Franks
Jamie Franks completed his second season as Denver’s head men’s soccer coach and his fifth with the program overall in 2016 after being named the program’s 10th head coach in January of 2015. In two seasons, the head coach of the 2016 National Coaching Staff of the Year has put together a record of 35-2-6, improving Denver’s record since Franks joined the staff as an assistant in 2012 to 70-19-14.
Dan Freigang
Dr. Dan is a unique blend of coach/scientist who has worked with US National teams, NHL, NBA, MLS, NCAA and Bundesliga teams. An experienced author and scientist on the periodization of mental training, self-confidence and game preparation. Dr Dan helps to explore the world with humor and simplicity.
Mike Freitag
Mike Freitag currently holds the post of Technical Director of the Colorado Soccer Association. Prior to returning to Colorado, Mike spent 24 years at Indiana as a player, assistant coach and head coach. Freitag is one of just three coaches in the history of the NCAA to lead his team to a national title in his first season as a head coach, guiding the Hoosiers to the 2004 NCAA title.
Bill Hempen
Bill Hempen became Colorado State University’s first Head Women’s coach on February 5, 2013. Hempen is one of the sport’s all-time greats, ranking No.17 in NCAA Division I history for career wins (276-188-44). In 24 seasons as a head coach he has developed 10 All-Americans, six professionals and guided his 1992 Duke team to the NCAA Final.
Hardy Kalisher
Hardy Kalisher has led the Boulder High School Panthers during the most successful period in the boys’ soccer program’s 34 year history. Under Hardy the Panthers have reached the state playoffs in each of his eleven seasons, achieved State Championships in 2016 and 2012, State Finalist in 2014, semi-finals in 2010, 2013 and 2014.
Frank Kohlenstein
Frank Kohlenstein just completed his 20th season as Head Coach of the Colorado School of Mines men’s soccer program. A seven-time RMAC Coach of the Year, Kohlenstein has led the Orediggers to 13 consecutive winning seasons, 17 straight conference tournament appearances and six NCAA postseasons.
Scott Palguta
Scott Palguta played collegiately at Cornell. He played professionally for the Rochester Rhinos and the Colorado Rapids. Scott was introduced as the third head coach for the Colorado College Men’s program on February 6, 2015. In his two years as head coach, Scott has guided the Tigers to a record of 30-6-4.
Roy Patton – Director for Soccer Genius
Roy Patton has coached at the University of South Alabama, the University of Vermont and with the University of Mobile. Roy recently retired from college coaching with an overall record of 369-167-7 and having elevated all three programs to their respective Top 20 and NCAA and NAIA National Tournaments.
Jeremy Tittle
Jeremy Tittle just completed his second year as head coach for the Metro State men’s program. In his two years as head coach Jeremy has guided the team to a 25-10-4 record. Prior to working in the Denver area, Jeremy coached at West Virginia, Lees-McRae, Midwestern State and King College. As a player at King College, he earned All-America honors.
