The Future Stars Program is an additional weekly training session designed for the U9 player who desires a higher level of training. The training environment will foster competition and encourage individual decision making designed to improve performance through a variety of training activities. Players will be challenged in training and pushed to improve both technically and tactically at each training session - while allowing for achievement in the activities. The Future Stars Program is designed to supplement the training received through the Development Academy and the in-house league season.
While not a prerequisite to the Elite Juniors U10 program , the Future Stars’ curriculum is the 1st step in the 2-year program designed to prepare players for the Tier 1 Competitive experience at U11. We will strive to maintain a coach-to-player ratio of 1:12 to provide significant individual interaction between player and coach. All training sessions will be conducted by the U9-U12 Directors of Coaching, Kyle Lineberger (boys) and Ryan Henkel (girls), and other licensed FC Boulder staff coaches. In addition, our Director of Recreational Soccer, Adam Creasey, will be involved with the week-to-week operation of the Future Stars Program.
Training sessions will be held once per week throughout the Fall and Spring seasons.
In spring 2013, the boys will practice from 5:30-6:45PM on Wednesdays at Douglass Elementary School beginning March 20, and ending May 15. Practice will not be held on March 27 due to BVSD Spring Break.
The girls will practice from 3-4:15PM on Sundays beginning March 17 and ending May 19 at East Boulder Recreation Center. Practices will not be held on March 24 or March 31 due to BVSD Spring Break.
Registration Deadline: March 1, 2012
