This recreational program is intended for boys and girls who enjoy the game of soccer but may not be willing or able to commit to the time requirement and/or expenses of a competitive soccer experience. Players will practice once per week with the team’s volunteer coach and once per week with an FC Boulder trainer. Games will be played on Saturdays – games are 11v11. The focus remains on individual ball skills, team concepts, and having FUN!

Teams
We do not hold tryouts for Upper Rec teams. Teams are formed by a parent volunteer coach by gathering a group of school or neighborhood kids. FC Boulder administrators will assist with team formation when necessary.
Coaches
Teams will be coached by a paid coach. All coaches are required to submit background checks and to attend FC Boulder coaches clinics.
Practices
Most teams will practice 2x per week with their team’s coach. In addition, the team has the option to attend a weekly skills clinic held by FC Boulder staff.
Games
Games are played primarily on Saturdays. Home games are played at Pleasant View Soccer Complex in Boulder. Away games will be along the Front Range – generally between Denver and Fort Collins. Games are 11v11 with two, 30-to 35-minute halves. Games are officiated by paid, licensed referees.
Uniforms
Each player is expected to have an official FC Boulder adidas uniform. Our FC Boulder uniform kit includes two jerseys, shorts, and socks. Players must have numbers on the back of their jerseys. Players must also have shin guards and soccer shoes.
