Mark originally comes from Glasgow, Scotland. He grew up playing the game, supporting Glasgow Celtic, and eventually coaching. Mark moved to the States in 2010 where he attended Cumberland University in Nashville, TN.

At Cumberland, Mark earned his Master’s Degree in Sports Management (2014-2016), as well as his Bachelor’s in Health and Human Performance (2010-2014). There he was a 4-year Dean’s List student, Athletic All Mid South-Conference selection, Academic All Mid-South Conference selection, while captaining the team his last two years.

Mark gained his SFA (Scottish Football Association) Youth Levels 1-4 prior to coming to the States. He has since earned his USSF C-License, USC Advanced National Diploma, and GK Level 1. He will be pursuing his B-License in 2020.

Prior to coming to FC Boulder — Mark worked at Murfreesboro Soccer Club (TN), and was the Director of Coaching at Trebol Soccer Club before the merger. He currently resides in Westminster with his wife, Reilly, and boxer mix, Scotia.
